Description
Mauser 71/84 Rifle. Dated to 1887. Rifle is in original military configuration and is in superb condition. Receiver, left in the factory "in the white," shows some light discoloration but no rust, scratches, or other damage. All blued portions are very strong and retain all appropriate markings. Wood is superb and has no damage besides an occasional light ding. Mechancal functions are excellent, with a strong dry fire and strong springs in the magazine. Includes an original-style (albeit probably not original) sling and two (!) boxes of high-quality vintage Canadian ammunition. Ammo in both boxes is very good, and the brass should reload well. This is an absolutely phenominal example of a fairly rare rifle, and the inclusion of ultra-rare factory ammo is a big plus towards shootability.
