Description
The 1301 Tactical Pistol Grip is Beretta’s new gas operated semi-automatic shotgun designed for law enforcement a nd home defense. Right out of the box, the 1301 Tactical Pistol Grip features an oversized charging handle, large textured bolt release, and an oversized reversible safety button. The integrated BLINK gas operating system, featuring a cross tube gas piston, allows the 1301 Tactical to cycle 36% faster than any other shotgun on the market. Available in an 18.5” barrel configuration, the 1301 Tactical features a robust, protected sighting system that uses a ghost ring for the rear sight and an interchangeable front blade sight. The receiver offers a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail. The pistol-grip Stock features an adjustable cheek piece, a LimbSaver® recoil pad and offers multiple sling attachment points.

1) Ate everything I threw at it right out of the box from target shot, turkey loads, buckshot, slugs, etc. No malfunctions in over 250 rounds
2) Trigger is super smooth and fast (ghost load 9 shells, could not outrun the trigger - all shells out in a second)
3) Limb-saver butt pad worked great, no sore shoulder next day (and I fired 75% of those rounds)
4) great sights
5) pistol grip on a shotgun was new to me, I think good to go for a semi, but maybe not on a pump
6) Lightweight, great controls - the only thing added was a flashlight, sling, and a Esstac shotgun shell cards
Now need to get some range time to get better at loading and reloading and working the gun for different uses. Cannot say enough about the gun (other than I saw if 125 cheaper 4 months later) or Gunprime experience.

Shotgun: The Beretta 1301 Tactical is an excellent shotgun, has all the upgrades you would initially want. Pistol grip, the +2 shell extension. The shotgun is 7+1 for 2 3/4 shells. Perfect home defense shotgun. Action is very smooth. Very lightweight. Very pleased with this shotgun, I have a lot of shotguns but this is my #1 self defense shotguns.
The new 2nd Gen Beretta 1301 Tactical has the bells and whistles factory installed and ready to go! Shoots good and very well made.
