There is a small pin that holds the lever on, that works the stock extension to slide down the buffer tube. If you are not carefull and you pull on the lever too hard or maybe at an angle, the pin will dislodge from it"s position and fall out causing the lever to fall off of the stock. I think this pin needs to be better secured to its position so this cant happen. I know your only supposed to push or squeeze the lever , not pull on it. But if it gets snagged on something , then what ? That is why I say it should be better secured somehow. This is the ONLY negative thing I can say about this carbine. I do like the fact that it is very light weight and the hand guard is just the perfect diameter. I like the full length picatinny rail and M-LOCK slots. The stock, when extended to its maximum length fits me just fine. Love the fact that it takes Glock magazines. The magazines insert, lock up and when they are released they drop free very well. In my opinion I think the fit and finish on this weapon is absolutely perfect. I dont hear anything rattling inside the gun and the weapon is very tightly put together. I am also glad the company did not over do it with decals and plastering the company name or model of the gun all over the receivers and the hand guard. The verbiage and insignias on the gun are perfect and just the right size and just enough. To me it was done with some thought and class! I bought this weapon in March of 2024. I have not had the chance to get out and fire the weapon yet but I have seen a lot of other peoples reviews on this gun and they are all happy with it. Im sure I will be too. And if it performs as good as it looks , I would not hesitate to buy another one of these carbines. I have two sons and I will pass one down to each of them. Before I take it to the target range , I am going to put a pair of bi-focals on it to help me with my accuracy and a sling to carry it with. I think this weapon is going to perform very well.
Love the FX9! I put 150 rounds thru it and not one hitch. Dialed in a new Red Dot and had no trouble grouping bullets around bullseye. Gun is solid and balanced but light to handle. Controls are all well placed and easy to find. I will say charging handle is a little small for me, will upgrade to a stouter and ambidextrous aftermarket handle. Other than the charging handle gun would work great stock.... but whats the fun in that. Looking forward to adding cool upgrades to a already great setup. Very glad I bought the FX9.
