I have ~900 rds through the pistol at this point using five different varieties of .22 lr ammo. In that time, I've had four light primer strikes - three in the first 200 rds, and the fourth at ~600 rds on an uncleaned pistol. In all cases, the cartridges fired on the second attempt, so I'm chalking those misfires up to break in and lack of maintenance. I've settled on Remington Thunderbolt ammo for now, and haven't had a single issue in the ~300 rds since a quick cleaning.
I bought the g44 bc it is the exact same specs as the g19 which is my daily carry, but you can shoot it for less than half price, 22lr versus 9mm. Great little plicker gun. Very light, feels like a toy gun candidly. Fits in my g19 holsters perfectly. Put 200 rounds through it right out of the box with only 2 misfires. Seems this gun has to be broken in, the more rounds through it the smoother it operates. Side note my girlfriend really likes shooting it bc of how light it is and not much recoil at all. Props to Gunprime for another flawless ordering and delivery experience as well.
Great gun..Gun Prime service was outstanding and fast thank you
I’ve had the Glock 44 for almost 2 years. My original intent to buy was to relearn and retrain my grip and trigger control with the much cheaper to fire 22LR round following two shoulder surgeries that changed how I can hold a firearm. Of course the obvious ammunition issues since the COVID-19 and riots panic effects in the ammo cost and supply has been another great asset to having this model. Also, due to the recent events there are a lot of new 1st time gun owners. This is a great firearm to introduce new and want to be new gun owners. I have let many new first timers start with this model and leading them to the near identical frame dimensions of the Glock 19s and Glock 45s for a 9mm defensive sidearm. Reliable function with many brands of ammo. I’ve mostly used Remington and CCI since those are what have been mostly available. I highly recommend this model for many reasons. If you can find this in stock, buy it whether you’re a new or experienced shooter as it can benefit introducing new shooters to firearms and help experienced shooters maintain their skills with a much lower cost of ammo consumption. And Gunprime was a nice company to deal with. Fair pricing. Fast shipping.
Having been a glock owner for years, I was expecting the 44 to be just like the rest - reliable. I don't know how many rounds I have fired through various glock models, 30k, maybe more, but I can't remember any malfunctions. Ever. This gun is finicky on which ammo will cycle the action it seems. Federals appear to be the most reliable. I haven't had too many issues with those. Loading the magazine seems to be a problem area as well. Perhaps it was ammo related but I had several malfunctions with the round getting jammed while trying to load. Those issues aside, it is a fairly accurate pistol. I put some XS sights on it that I had laying around for a different glock and they worked great. I purchased this pistol to aid my son in learning pistol marksmanship. The 9mm ammo isn't available anymore for a decent price and I had a bunch of 22 ammo from years ago so I figured I try this gun out. Overall, I'm glad I got it, however, it will never be used in a self defense situation if possible.
The ultimate 22LR firearm.
Everything you've heard about it is true. Go buy one!
Such a fun little gun that mimics a Glock 19 in size and shape, but costing a fraction to actually shoot.
This Glock 44 is amazing it's lightweight it's accurate I just wish they come out with an extended magazine soon.. it's a beautiful little guy and I would buy it over again for sure I'm never getting rid of this baby.
