PTR 9CT 601 MP5 Pistol 9mm 8.86" 30 Rd Bl PTR601
Description
Looking for a MP5? Can't find a HK? Don't want to pay for an HK? We might have the option for you! PTR makes the most HK variant firearms on the market, just check out the model 91 or the 32s. They have done no less than shake up the MP5 market with their 9CT. This model has great parts and features for almost half of what a true HK branded SP5 goes for. Seeing is believing, you have to handle this gun to appreciate how incredible it actually is!
The 9CT model features an M-LOK compatible aluminum handguard. The nitride treated 8.86” 3-lug barrel is threaded to 1/2 x 28. Both a push button and paddle magazine release are standard. The 4.5” precision-welded top rail enables use of your favorite optic or the traditional iron sights (included). The polymer end cap with swivel adapter provides a sling attachment point. The gun ships in a heavy duty range case with: single point bungee sling, two 30-round magazines and rear sight adjustment tool.

LOVE IT
The iconic MP5 has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. After a lot of research and consideration I decided to go with the PTR. I just got it a week ago and haven’t had time to shoot it yet but, I am looking forward to it. The quality is great and it looks awesome! Gunprime had this at a fair price and it was delivered quickly. Very happy with this purchase.
Gun is awesome. Me and my boy have only had 120 rounds through it, all my own reloads as I go through the break in process. Gunprime is great, I’m all the way in AZ and I had my gun at the FFL dealer in 1week.
I chose the PTR-9CT because it’s American made, affordable, and available.
The good: The welds are even and straight. The finish is well done and attractive. The top rail (which many dislike) is solid and straight. The M-Loc forearm is high quality and tight, but I’ve already replaced it with a traditional fat forearm. The rear of the receiver easily accepted an SB brace, and it is tight with no wiggle. The case, two magazines, sight tool, and sling that came with it are very high quality.
The not-so-good (these are small gripes and do not affect my overall satisfaction with the weapon): The front sight pin does not have a sling loop like the original. This was easily remedied with an aftermarket forearm pin that does. The Pelican-style case is too small to hold the weapon with the brace installed. I’ve read that some people have modified their foam, and I’ll probably give that a try. The 2nd Gen Korean magazines that I bought separately do not seat easily. They do lock in but not nearly as easy as the PTR magazines. Hopefully they will fit better with use.
About GunPrime: This was my first time purchasing through them. They shipped amazingly fast, communicated well throughout the process, and had a massive list of local FFLs on file. I have absolutely no hesitation about recommending them, and I plan to use them often for items that my LGS can’t seem to get.
