Description
April 1943 Remington 1903A3 in very good condition. Metal is excellent, with the parkerization intact and free of corrosion throughout the rifle. (The yellow substance visible on the bolt in the pictures is a protective grease, not corrosion.) Bore on the 2-groove July 1944 Remington barrel is excellent, with bright metal. Serial-matched Rock Island Arsenal "C-Stock" is in very good condition - a few normal handling marks are present along the pistol grip and rear of the handguard portion of the stock, but varnish is intact and the stock is free of major dings. Electro -Pencil on the bolt handle points towards this being a post-war factory rebuild sent to Greece, which means a well-kept and often exemplary rifle. Only notable flaw is a slightly bent front sight, which is fairly typical for the non-hooded rifles. An excellent example of the breed and a rare configuration, this would make for a fantastic shooter or collection centerpiece.
