Smith and Wesson Pre-Model 34 "Kit-Gun" .22 LR - Good Condition

Smith and Wesson Pre-Model 34 in .22 LR. Known as the "Kit Gun," these little I-Frame revolvers were sold to outdoorsmen for hunting, plinking, and for the humane finishing off of game animals. Thus, almost all of these were carried quite a lot, even tossed in a tacklebox, but not shot often, and are thus usually pretty beat up but mechanically sound. This example shows the characteristic wear expected from such use, with about two thirds of the original bluing remaining. The right side shows quite a lot worse than the left. That being siad, it is in otherwise pretty solid shape, with the adjustable sights remaining intact and mostly free of damage and the original grips, while a little stained, are completely intact and tight. Lockup is excellent, with a smooth double action and crisp single action pull. These are cool guns, most of which didn't make it to the present day; while a little rough, this is a classic little revolver which would make for a fun plinker or a great restoration.
