Legendary Smith & Wesson reliability and quality have earned the K-framed revolvers generations of loyal fans who for career or personal reason required a concealed carry weapon. Given the incivility and lawlessness domestically I sought a proven concealed firearm to protect my family, my community, and to stay within the limits of aging's diminished performances in the safe usage of the smallest, deadliest caliber for a handgun. The handling, the recoil, the sight-picture are comfortable. Rapid sighting & fire within the 5-10 yard range is outstanding, it is deadly spot on repeatedly. Concealed carry with a good holster for day-to-day wear is so comfortable as to be unnoticeable. Hoping for the best of never needing to use it but well prepared by frequent practice at the range this 686+7 is exactly what I needed to fulfill my duty as an old vet and a retired law enforcement agency support staffer. While serving as a Seabee under the "Red Pennant, in-country" we'd joke that our .45's were deadly even empty as cudgels. This Bad Boy is much the same should push come to shove.
