Love the firearm. Thinking of getting another in 9mm.
My wife and I tested the EZ 380 before ordering. We were both very impressed with the safety features and ease of use. When ours arrived, we were excited to take the EZ to the range and we enjoyed the accuracy and magazines design for reloading was quick and easy. If there were 6 stars I would rate it a 6.
The safety factor and its size bought it for my daughter she has had it for about a month like it enough that I bought another one the same firearm maybe for my granddaughter
A very safe firearm
I picked this EZ380 for myself. My wife has had one for a couple of years and loves it. As I've gotten older it has become more difficult to rack the slide on several of my handguns. This gun is very easy to rack up and very accurate even for its size.
Purchased to teach my wife to shoot. She was able to handle the small frame well and was able to follow up quickly
I ordered a Smith & Wesson EZ Shield EZ380 from GunPrime for my wife. The EZ Shield is advertised as an accurate concealed carry pistol that is perfect for people with low hand strength. The rack is easy to pull back and there are finger guides for loading the magazine making loading and chambering very easy for anyone. Besides the palm safety, there is also a thumb safety on each side of the gun. It delivers on everything it promises, is accurate, and not tiring to use. I'm impressed with the design and features and would recommend it to anyone, whether they have hand strength issues or not.
I have not shot it yet, but gone through the motions. I have weakened hands due to peripheral neuropathy. More shots than a wheel gun and faster loading with a spare magazine. Love it!
Great gun would highly recommend!
Shoots really and doesn’t jam
I bought this because my experience with the Shield Line of Pistols has been a good one so far. I have a couple of others in 9MM but I was looking for something that my wife could shoot that she would be comfortable with and that would be easier for her to manipulate the slide and operate overall. While the internals of the EZ380 are substantially different then the other Shield pistols I have it still remains a very good feeling and also shooting firearm. The ease of mag loading to the slide action all attest to the well thought out process that this gun was developed under. My goal was to get her back out on the range and comfortable shooting again and this hit the mark in every way. She loves this pistol and is now asking me when we can get out to the range next. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an entry level pistol that is less intimidating to operate and shoot. On a final note, I am a bigger guy with large hands and typically have trouble with smaller frame weapons fitting well but I enjoy shooting this as much as she does.

Very user Friendly ! I've practice with it 3 times so far. I would buy another !
The EZ is designed for ease of use, particularly by folks who have difficult manipulating the slide on other handguns and it succeeds well on that point: the slide is distinctly easy to manipulate; the ability to have the safety on while opening the slide is a plus as is the grip safety, and the magazine with its open design and thumb assist are simpler to load then many closed-mag high capacity designs. SIghts are bold and clear and it shot to point of aim out of the box for both my wife and my sister-in-law. Both wound up liking it a lot more than my compact and subcompact 9 mms. Only two downsides: holster choices are pretty limited--right now I can't find a nicely designed paddle holster with security retention like I use for my other handguns. Worse, the slide release was dysfunctional when I got it: took all my finger strength to release it. Upon examination, there is a minute lip on the frame cut-out and obviously rough surface on the engagement surface of the release per attached photo. Careful stoning to clean it up quickly fixed the problem and it is smooth, easy, and reliable now. But I checked a second new sample later and found the same problem, which I have not seen on the Bodyguard .380s I have from S&W. In short, this is a quality control error that needs to be fixed. But overall, a very thoughtfully designed firearm that proved a pleasure to shoot.
I'm a new beginner to firing a handgun. I wanted something that I could handle for self defense with accuracy and ability to control when facing a life-death situation.
I've taken 2 classes on proper fundamentals of handling/ safety when operating a firearm. But before I purchased a gun, I had an opportunity to try several of them to get a feel what is comfortable for me.
I was totally draw to the S&W 380 Shiels EZ. It was the perfect weight, fit comfortably in my hands and I liked the 2 safety features. 1. The safety lock and 2. The gun won't shoot unless you are using a proper grip. Both features help build confidence and strengthen handling techniques.
As far as the slide, I had some difficulty raking it due to the fact that I'm left handed. But with practice and a solid technique, I'm now able to rake the slide both left and right handed !
This gun is really a fantastic little firearm. I'd highly recommend this gun for beginners up to expert shooters. It's worth trying it out.
