Overall the S&W SD40 VE has no faults, does what it should do.

BUT I forgot to mention that doing business with GUNPRIME was great, great communication. VERY friendly and professional service.
Shipping was very fast and secure to my FFL. I look forward to doing business with GUNPRIME again !

Overall the S&W SD40 VE has no faults, does what it should do.

I bought this model because I'm a diehard Glock {19/s23} fan but I wanted to have a back-up, did'nt want to spend 5-700 hundred dollars. Did some research and decided to give the SD40 a try. To my delight it has performed flawlessly , with more than 1000 rds of different brands of ammo {I feed it 180gr FMJ and HP}. The platform is very much like my Glock so I was already familiar with it. At this point I've nothing bad to say about the SD40, It has the same "annoying" slide takedown levers on sides of frame that give me difficulty some times {same as my Glocks}. The only other thing is not being able to find a "Truglo" TFO/TFX nite-site to fit the VE model. Other than that I'm very confident in the performance of S&W's SD40 VE
I'd recommend this Sidearm to a friend, a Brother , even my Mother
...AND I'd purchase another in a heartbeat
