Description
Remington Nylon 66 Apache Black Stainless Steel .22 LR 14 Rd Semi-Automatic Rifle. This famous gal is furnished in Apache Black Zytel 101 Nylon with a stainless-steel receiver and barrel. The largely synthetic construction of the Nylon 66 made operation without lubricant possible. That’s right, this low-maintenance rifle features “lubricant-free nylon ball bearings throughout the mechanism, eliminating the need for lubricants of the functional parts of this rifle” – Remington’s Initial Nylon 66 Publicity. The plastic stock is the heart of the construction, making this rifle a turning point in innovation, reliability, and accuracy. With a diamond foregrip added for traction, and a 14 Round tube fed magazine: this will be your favorite plinker, small game, or just for fun precision target shooting rifle. Featuring a front leaf sight and an adjustable rear notch iron sight manipulated by the coin screw manufactured for the sight itself. Features a wonderfully placed tang safety switch. The 14 .22 LR (ONLY) Rounds are fed through the heel plate by the magazine follower tube, which is easy to handle and locks into place, ensuring the follower will not come out during firing. Measuring a total of 39” with a 19 ½” barrel. The heel plate, fore end tip, and the grip cap are bonded by white spacers, reinforced by bolts. The white diamonds on the fore-grip conceal one reinforcing screw on each side, reinforcing the fore-end to the barrel. There is no sign of surface tarnish throughout, though there are scratches seen throughout the synthetic stock. The bore is clean with no signs of corrosion. Though not warranted safe to shoot, all mechanical functions are clean, smooth, and sound. The Nylon 66 is top tier in plinking, small game, and precision target shooting. S/N: A2119848
